PEER GROUPS

Stage-Specific • Function-Focused

PHX FWD Peer Groups are stage-specific and function-focused meetups for the builders inside Phoenix’s software companies.

The goal is simple: create a supportive circle of peers facing similar challenges, where they can celebrate wins, share problems, and help each other level up to the next stage.

Who are Peer Groups for?

PHX FWD Peer Groups are for the builders inside the business – function leaders making it happen day to day: leaders in marketing, sales, product, engineering, operations, finance, people ops, and customer success.

Best Practices

Peer Groups are designed to be casual, informal, effective, and fun. Here’s how to make the most of them:

  • Monthly or twice a month is ideal!

  • Join your Peer Group on Slack to stay in touch between meetings.

  • Celebrate progress, talk openly about roadblocks, and brainstorm solutions together.

  • Every Peer Group Organizer can shape the experience — choose discussion topics, rotate locations, bring in occasional guests, or organize social hangouts.

  • Invite new people who fit the stage + function

  • Embody PHX FWD’s core values of Generosity, Ambition, Collaboration, Learning, and Grit.

  • Each Peer Group has a Mentor who has led through your stage and function. Meet with them quarterly to get guidance on how to grow to the next stage.
